I’m looking for the unconsidered truths around us. In nature, it’s the hidden depths, the patterns, and colors not available upon a quick cursory glance. A red rose is never just red; instead, every crease of every petal contains unending intricacy.
With people, the unconsidered truths are even more fleeting. A pleasant smile, primp, and polish is armor. The set of someone’s features, the shift of their facial expressions, the lines around their eyes are chinks in that armor, betraying an unspoken story.
Pay attention. Allow yourself to get lost in looking. You’ll never know what you find.
